This is the second brand of nicotine gum I have tried. The other was a CVS store brand also mint flavored. I have a strong stomach so I was pretty surprised when I noticed that this gum kept giving me heartburn. I am a very light smoker (a couple cigarettes a day) but when I drink all bets are off. I decided to get the gum so I wouldn’t go through half a pack or more during a heavy drinking night and wake up feeling like an ashtray. Its also convinient if you are stuck in a public place that doesn’t allow smoking. I don’t plan on buying this brand again based on the poor experience I have had with it.
It your stuck with a box of this stuff I find it helps to sip on something while you are using it. Also taking breaks by holding it away from your gums with your teeth can minimize the negative side effects.
